Slide the bungee loop off the bundle of webbing (strapping).
Unroll the webbing (strap) end over end.
Find two sturdy connecting spots on your vehicle for the hooks.
Attach the two hooks at the connecting points, using the Slack Loop to make the two ends longer or shorter as needed.
Slide the tensioner along the webbing where YOU want it!
Pull on Slack Loop to take up slack from the two ends.
Unlock the fully opened tensioner by squeezing the handle and then move it forward.
Move the handle forwards and back several times to tighten the webbing and the load.
Make sure the load and the webbing are tight.
Fold the Slack Loop in half a few times and wrap it up with the bungee loop.

Slide the bungee loop off the bundle of webbing (strapping).
Relieve the tension in the webbing by squeezing the handle and then move it forward.
Pull on opposite ends of the webbing coming out of the tensioner until there is no webbing around the axle.
Disconnect the hooks.
Let the hooks hang down (and wobble to and fro) and pull on the shorter hook until the two Hook Segments are about the same length
Pull on the Hook Segments or the Loop Segment until all 3 segments are about the same length.
